Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Our PTO tries to create a stronger relationship between home and school so that parents and teachers may cooperate in the education of our children. The money raised through memberships and the Halloween Dance help provide each student at Murray with the student planner.  The planners help students begin each year and continue through the year with good organizational skills that will aid them as they continue their education.

Through our volunteers and school activities, the PTO hopes to provide opportunities to celebrate our diversity as a community, and to promote an environment of safety and excellence for our children in the home, school and community.  Volunteers are important here at Murray and are necessary for chaperoning, assisting Book Fair (Dec), Scoliosis Screening (April), donations of food for special events, and helping with various other occasions as necessary.

Volunteer forms, as well as membership forms, are included in the newsletter recently sent home. I encourage everyone to join the PTO at a cost of only $5.00 per family. The PTO meets the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room.  Parents and teachers are all invited to attend.  The meetings are a great way to obtain important information regarding Murray.
