I. Course Content

Quarter 1: Pre-Requisite Skills

Chapter 6: Analyzing Linear Equations

Quarter 4: Chapter 7: Solving Linear Inequalities

II. Textbook

    1. We will be using the Glencoe Algebra I textbook.

B. Students will check out a textbook for use at home. Please keep your textbook covered and in a safe place.

III. Assignments

    1. All math computations should be completed in pencil.
    2. Assignments are due the following day.
    3. Students are responsible for all work missed (be sure to call the homework hotline when absent – 446-5525 ext. 428)
    4. Assignments will be corrected daily. Students are encouraged to re-do missed problems.
    5. Work must be shown on all assignments.

F. Late work will be accepted for partial credit until the day of the test.

VII. Consequences

    1. Positive behavior is appreciated and acknowledged.

B. Consequences for negative behavior include: warning, processing, consultation, detention, parent contact, office referral, and suspension.

Suggestions for success:

    1. Be very attentive in class, do all classwork with the class.
    2. Do your homework everyday – don’t get behind.
    3. Keep a neat and organized notebook.
    4. Make study time a daily habit – check your planner every night.

5. Ask for help or further explanation when you need it.

Students: If you need extra help, please let me know. You can see me during class or during 5th period lunch. An after-school tutoring program is available in the library Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. You can also ask a friend or

parent for help. Remember to use your assignment planner daily.
