Virtue for the Week
Creativity: As you are creative this summer be responsible, respectful, reliable, have self-discipline, AND . . . have fun.
From Principal:
The last two weeks of school will by busy with finals, 8th grade Magic Mtn. Trip, the Academic Awards and ASB Assemblies, and the 8th grade Promotion ceremony. Enjoy your last two weeks of school and have a great summer! 8th Graders: A few reminders about the Promotion ceremony. The dress is casual: blouse and skirt or daytime spring dress for girls and dress slacks and shirt for boys. And, YES the dress code does apply. The last Chess Tournament is Saturday, May 31st, 8:30-1 at Monroe. This is also the last tournament with Mr. Finholm who will be moving to Colorado this summer, so plan to attend and support the Murray team.
From Asst. Principal:
Students are reminded that attending end of the year activities is a privilege and the criteria for participating: attendance, citizenship, detentions, etc. are still in effect. 8th Graders: if you are not attending the Magic Mountain Trip you MUST be at school or you will NOT participate in the promotion ceremony. 4th Quarter Ice Cream Reward for "no tardies" is on Friday, May 30th, during both 5th/6th lunches at the OCS door. Students MUST bring their planner with unused tardies to receive ice cream reward.
From ASB:
The Spirit competition results: Grade 8 with 74,501 and winner of Pool Party, Grade 7 with 70,975 will go bowling, Grade 6 with 66,952 will enjoy Rataouille.
